Software Implementation

The Collaborative Engine

S.A.I.D. Strategy uses a Hybrid Agile Methodology to execute projects. This modern, flexible approach involves practices like daily scrum meetings to sync on progress and managing work in time-boxed "Sprint" cycles to deliver value incrementally. A core part of our expertise is driving collaboration across complex workgroups, including software developers, database administrators, solution architects, and business and quality assurance analysts.

Proactive Engagement and Quality

We ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards through proactive engagement. This involves carefully managing risks and issues through documentation, close tracking, and developing mitigation strategies before they can derail progress.

Framework Development: We develop a framework and help select the best project management methodology that is suited for the organization’s unique needs and culture.

Process Standardization: We standardize how project implementation processes are carried out across the entire company, ensuring everyone follows the same playbook.

Tool Development: We create practical project management tools and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency in how projects are managed day-to-day.

Prioritizing the People Side of Change

A key part of our execution methodology is managing the human element of a project. S.A.I.D. Strategy designs specific interventions to build readiness and commitment to new ways of working. This focus on the human element directly puts into practice the foundational pillar of an organizational culture focus to increase stakeholder engagement, ensuring new systems or processes are adopted successfully.

Learning Narrative Transition

Beyond simply executing a project, S.A.I.D. Strategy also focuses on the final piece of their methodology: empowering clients for long-term, sustainable success.

Cases and Client Experiences

Microsoft 365 Experience

The Microsoft 365 Experience project involved management consulting of the enterprise-wide implementation of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools for an institutional philanthropy technology organization. The project was executed in two phases: the first focused on team site migration, risk tracking, and documentation, while the second expanded to an Intranet Hub development and broader integration. Using a sprint-based methodology, the project aimed to create a unified platform for communication, standardized SharePoint data storage, governance policies, and an Intranet Hub. Progress was tracked through cadenced dashboard updates to the Steering Committee, with clearly defined success metrics emphasizing user adoption and process standardization. Continuous stakeholder feedback and iterative improvements ensured alignment with organizational objectives.

State Grants Management Platform Implementation

S.A.I.D. Strategy managed the implementation of a statewide Grants Management Platform for Fluxx Labs, providing comprehensive project strategy and oversight for a state-funded grants and scholarships organization. The year-long project involved leading eight technical and business workgroups, optimizing seven student grant and scholarship programs business processes, redesigning data architecture, and applying agile methodologies for iterative development and stakeholder engagement. Key deliverables and accomplishments included developing a Gap Analysis Plan and Training Plan, and managing risk mitigation and issue tracking. The project concluded with a successful handoff to the prime contractor’s team for ongoing support.

PMO Administration Oversight Strategy

A comprehensive Project Management Office (PMO) structure was developed for an institutional philanthropy technology organization, beginning with in-depth interviews to guide framework design and strategic oversight. The project involved IT team interviews to inform a tailored project management approach, the creation of portfolio management controls, backlog oversight, metrics reporting, and specialized templates for project scoping and documentation. Staff adoption was supported through practical guidance, including bi-weekly coaching, stakeholder engagement strategies, and structured training sessions, all designed to optimize project execution while maintaining organizational flexibility. The initiative resulted in a flexible yet robust system for managing projects and optimizing organizational outcomes.

Website Redesign

S.A.I.D. Strategy led a website redesign project that involved a comprehensive digital transformation of the organization’s digital presence, featuring extensive new content development, enhanced user experience, and robust multilingual support in both Spanish and Haitian Creole. Despite a mid-project technical vendor change, the team ensured seamless project delivery through strong project management, comprehensive training materials, successful user acceptance testing, and effective coordination among all stakeholders, resulting in a more accessible and user-friendly website.

PMO Center of Excellence

S.A.I.D. Strategy guided an institutional philanthropy organization to establish an Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO), implementing a comprehensive project management framework aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and aligning projects with strategic goals. This framework utilized a tiered system to prioritize projects, including tracking and reporting, and an approach to prioritize high-impact initiatives. The methodology integrated with the organization’s Policy Governance Framework to ensure strategic alignment, supported by a standardized tools and resources library and structured communication. The PMO guided project execution within a networked organizational model. Executive oversight was maintained through regular project reviews, and staff received coaching to effectively lead initiatives.
